Real estate is a significant asset class for the vast majority of our clients, and our experienced team establishes structures to acquire and hold both residential and commercial property. The team in Guernsey has expertise in acquisitions, development, refurbishment, letting, sales and disposals of various types of real estate including both high value residential and commercial real estate.
We work very closely with our client’s advisers to ensure the most appropriate structure is established to meet our client’s objectives. Structures commonly used to acquire and own real estate would include a range of trusts and companies though with the ever changing tax legislation for ownership of UK Residential property tax must be sought as a company may no longer be appropriate especially where it is for personal use.
Once established we manage and administer the structure, completing all necessary filings, tax returns, liaising with advisers, developers and contractors, banks, lending institutions, property managers and tenants as required.
